Jean Beane kidnapped Squirrel Tooth Charlie at gun point, owner of the Gold Hill Hotel, and a very successful prospector from Deadwood South Dakota. He promised her all the gold and diamonds she wanted, and a home if she would just release him. They fell in love and were married. He gave her twenty thousand dollars in gold dust and pails full of nuggets and a thousand dollars a month to keep her happy. In the end she ruined him.
