Mary Green grew up in the Sacramento Valley, CA in a farming family. Little did she know how much agriculture would feature in her future as a Madame in the Yukon. Mary’s successful House of Flowers was the most famous “garden of delights” during the gold rush era. While the miners were digging the gold out of the hills, Mary and her flowers were digging the gold out the miners pockets.
